J. Michael Allen, President & CEO

Mr. Allen is a banking executive having most recently served as senior vice president of BB&T in Gainesville, Georgia. Mr. Allen received a BBA and then his MBA from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. In 1978, Mr. Allen began his banking career at SunTrust in Macon, Georgia and completed the LSU Graduate School of Banking program in 1991. Mr. Allen has been very active in community activities including the Gainesville Rotary Club, Gainesville Chamber of Commerce, and fund-raiser for United Way, and Young Life. He is a member of Lakewood Baptist Church of Gainesville. He is a past president and director of Risk Management Association Southern Chapter (formerly known as Robert Morris Associates) and was co-founder and president of the Northeast Georgia Chapter RMA. Mr. Allen is a member of Gainesville-Hall County Quality Growth Council, a member of the Northeast Georgia Health Systems, Inc., Arbor Circle and serves on the golf committee of NGHS Foundation.
